We present an original 1955 Fender Tweed Deluxe 5E3 Narrow Panel.
This amplifier is in great shape. Original ambered tweed covering, original tubes and speaker. The 5E3 Delude has been a favorite of guitar players for decades. Up to about “3“ on the volume knob it produces some of the loveliest clean tones imaginable. Once you start moving it towards and past noon the famous crunchy tweed overdrive kicks in and brings you to rock ‘n’ roll heaven.
This example sports the original tweed covering which is still largely intact and in very good shape. It has nicely “ambered” over the years as often happens. The faceplate on the chassis is still very clean with very little pitting. Nearly all the original white lettering is clearly intact and visible.
The amp’s wonderful tone comes through clearly in the original Jensen alnico speaker that sounds great. Some of the tubes has been changed to newer, which are a mix of what looks like GE and RCA. A new power switch has been installed and filter caps, resistor so it can run perfectly. Newer leather handle and the power cable is very old but that also looks to be an older replacement with a little longer length. The Power transformer is factory original. The output transformer is as old as the amp itself and definitely era-correct.
To keep it as original as possible, you need a desktop 110 voltage converter, so it can run with 230volt without changing anything ( Only if you not live in USA)
The original tube chart is present as well and very clean with crisp corners and hand inked serial number.
The amp is full serviced and ready to be played
