We present an all original 1961 Fender Jazzmaster in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This pre-CBS Fender Jazzmaster is in excellent condition and even comes complete with its original bridge cover and tremolo arm. Cosmetically, this guitar shows little “play-wear” on the back of the neck and few nicks and dings on the front and sides. The neck profile and headstock face are as clean as can be. Just a little tarnish / wear on the decal witch is quite common. Otherwise, this is an exceptional clean example of a pre-CBS Jazzmaster.
The original black bottom pickups are very balanced and strong and sounds incredibly good. The original frets have still plenty of life left. The guitar is powerful, resonant and extremely versatile, this is everything you’d expect from a guitar produced in Fender’s golden age period. Beautiful dark rosewood slab board with clay dots.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original Fender brown hardshell case with yellow interior. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
