Description & Specifications

1963 Fender Deluxe Reverb – Blackface

We present an original 1963 Fender Deluxe Reverb – Blackface. Made in Fullerton, California.

This Fender Deluxe Reverb is in exceptionally clean and excellent condition. It is also one of the earliest versions of a Blackface Fender Deluxe Reverb we have seen. It left the Fullerton factory at the end of 1963.

This vintage Fender Deluxe Reverb delivers the shimmering, balanced clean tone that has made these amps a staple in studios and on stages for decades. The amplifier produces a clear and dynamic sound, offering sparkling cleans that serve as an excellent platform for effects pedals. It cascades into a rich, lightly compressed crunch when pushed to volume 10. The reverb is lush, with a long and smooth decay. A few capacitors and resistors have been replaced to ensure optimal performance. A newer power prong cable has also been installed.

All transformers are original to this amplifier. The original Oxford speaker is in excellent condition and sounds fantastic.

The original tube chart is intact, featuring crisp, clean corners and a hand-inked serial number. Comes with the original footswitch.
