1963 Fender Vibrolux Amp 6G11-A – Brownface

We present an original 1963 Fender Vibrolux amplifier 6G11 – A – brownface. Made in Fullerton, California.

This is one of the greatest Fender amps in the brownface line. Also known as the famous for Mark Knopfler’s “Sultans of Swing” recording amplifier. This Fender model is a perfect amp for recording or small gig applications. More power and headroom than a Deluxe but at the same time nice and light to carry around. The Fender Vibrolux brownface is just an amazing amplifier.

Overall, this Fender Vibrolux is in excellent shape for its age. Both transformer are original and the circuit has been serviced with some new capacitors, resistors and tubes so it can run perfectly. New 3-prong power cable is installed as well. The original Oxford 12L6N speaker is intact with an excellent frame and it sounds fantastic. Inside the cabinet the original tube chart is fully intact too. The grill cloth is intact and in great shape with some aging. Feet and handle are perfect and original as to the amplifier.

Even comes complete with its original footswitch.

To keep it as original as possible you need a stepdown transformer. We have these in stock and can be purchased through Guitar Hunter. https://guitarhunter.dk/product/toroidy-ats300va-stepdown-converter-230-110v/
