We present an all original and rare 1964 Stratocaster in its original Lake Placid Blue finish. Made in Fullerton, California.
This pre-CBS Custom Color; Lake placid Blue Stratocaster is all original except for a professional refret and a new handcrafted bone nut. It’s a prime example of why these early Fenders are so coveted. A beautiful playing neck and sounding instrument in fantastic condition, with just enough cosmetic wear to give it some mojo. This pristine maple neck is a medium C-shape profile with beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with clay dots. It’s set up as a super fast and easy player. The headstock is clean as it can be an “transition logo” is also perfect intact
The condition is incredibly nice and only has some very few nicks and dings. Finish checking and has some belt buckle wear on the back. The Mint Green Pickguard is in perfect shape with no cracks or any repairs. The original grey bottom pickups are very strong/ warm and clear with a lively tone, woody and glassy at the same time, with a perfect balance between the set.
Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes complete with its original Fender non-logo hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order. Including periode correct polish cloth and original strap.
