History Bob Dylan’s SJ-200 “VIP2”

Having Bob Dylan’s personal signature on a custom shop SJ200 of his design was a once-in-a-lifetime event. He autohorized to globally release 175 guitars of a “replica run” of his personal SJ-200 custom. The run was carefully numbered and signed (on each label), and based on his contract. Bob received numbers 1,2 and 3 of the production run. The Bob Dylan autographed run sold out quickly .

At the request of Bob Dylan’s manger we built a special three guitars to make up for the 3 Bob received under his agreement. These three guitars to make up for the 3 Bob received under agreement.
These three would allow us to release a “total of 175 guitars” as agreed to Bob and his mangement.

Three guitars were also available to Bob’s mangement as a special back up in case a high level associate wished to buy one og Bob’s signed guitars after the run sold out the year before.

Consequently, these guitars were numbered “VIP1″VIP2″and VIP3” to identify the three guitars to replace the three Bob himself received, thus completning the release of 175 guitars total in the world. To my knowledge, one was purchased by associate- friend og Bob Dylan, one to a VIP in mainland China.
