1965 Gibson Firebird III Non Reverse in Sunburst
We present an original 1965 Gibson Firebird III Non Reverse in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This Gibson Firebird is all original and 100% complete besides for a brand new handcrafted nylon nut. Otherwise, no breaks or any repairs. Gibson firebird III Non Reverse comes with 3 P-90’s was Gibson’s answer to the Stratocaster with tremolo. The body is a light weight one-piece mahogany with a standard glued-in neck. Strong 1-piece mahogany neck with beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The vibrato tailpiece is in perfect working order with no issues.
The P-90’s are very balanced and deliver a very dynamic and nuanced tone, with the heft and midrange fullness that only comes with the combination. The original tuners are intact and these tuners turn smoothly. The gold reflector knobs is in perfect working order with no issues. The serial number is very clean on the back of the headstock. Overall, the piece are so amazing and a super nice piece of history as well as a top collector piece and notch player.
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with its original hardshell case with black exterior and plush yellow interior. The original latches and handle are also intact. Even matching number hang tag is included with some old Gibson strings.
