1978 Guild D-35 NT – Natural
We present an original 1978 Guild D-35 NT in great condition.
Guild instruments are revered for their value, reliability, tone, responsiveness, outstanding projection, and sustain. The Guild D-35 dreadnought has a full-bodied, high volume body style that was developed with an emphasis on string-to-string balance, so that treble, mid and bass registers project evenly. The result is an incredibly musical and versatile dreadnought. The acoustic guitar’s top is solid spruce, offering full balance and projection, and the solid mahogany back and sides offer a distinctive warm and smooth tone.
The mahogany neck has a nice full feeling C-profile with tons of roundness and heft in the higher registers. There’s virtually no wear further up the fretboard, and the guitar plays well in every register. On the headstock, the original flawless heavy-duty chrome tuning machines are intact and turn smoothly, and the headstock face has a gold silkscreened Guild logo that is faded over the years.
Cosmetically, this flat-top guitar has seen light, honest use, with some spots of lacquer checking and minor dings and scuffs in the gloss nitro lacquer on the body as a whole. The neck profile is in good shape, with only a few light marks in the finish.
