1961 Gibson ES-355 TDSV – Cherry
We present an all original and 1961 Gibson ES-355 TDSV in its original Cherry finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
This Gibson piece is in excellent condition with minor fading spots and other cosmetic wear and the original gold parts have become aged over the years so they have a beautiful look. What makes this ES-355 TDSV so unique is the fact that it was Gibson Top-Of-The-Line ES-model in that period. The ES-355 TDSV is with Stereo and Varitone.
Beautiful figured double cutaway laminated maple body. It comes with a rare pair of P.A.F “Patent Applied For”humbucking pickups. The pickups sound amazing/strong and are well balanced. They are also untouched and totally factory stock. The oval orange label is clean and intact with handwritten ES-355 letter. 1-piece 1961 mahogany neck profile, ebony fingerboard with block inlays and binding. It also features binding on the body, gold hardware with split-diamond headstock inlay. The original Cherry finish has aged to a gorgeous watermelon color.
The original frets are in great shape including the nylon nut. The original Pat Pending Grovers tuners works perfect and turns smoothly. It features Bound ebony fretboard with MOP – block inlays, Gibson Custom headstock w/binding and split-diamond inlay and original factory Bigsby tailpiece,
Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.
Comes with its original brown Gibson hardshell case with pink lining. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
