We present an original 1963 Gibson Southern Jumbo in great condition. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This Gibson has a very select high grade spruce top with beautiful medullary rays. Mahogany back, neck, and sides. The mahogany in this guitar has particularly interesting grain. The back and sides are in great condition. A few small nicks and dings here and there. A few lines of snaky/beautiful finish checking and a few dings appear on the guitar. None are deep or puckered. 2.5 inches crack on the back has been professional repaired by a Luthier. A strap button has been installed on heel.

Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard and the original plastic bridge. The bindings on the neck, close to the original nut, has shrinking a little bit. This is quite comman for Gibson. This vintage Gibson has cream-black-cream binding on top, with single cream binding on back and sides, all antiqued. The original Kluson DeLuxe tuners has been replaced with some new Gibson tuners  (The original tuners is included) All original finish with no touch up or overspray.

This guitar has great setup and playability. The sound is great even with the original adjustable ceramic saddle.

  • Width at nut: 1 11/16″.
