1964 Fender Jaguar – Olympic White – Gold Hardware

We present an all original and late 1964 Fender Jaguar in Olympic White finish with factory gold hardware. Made in Fullerton, California.

To find a pre-CBS Fender Jaguar with factory gold hardware is pretty rare. This Fender guitar is absolutely stunning to play and looks amazing. The C-shaped maple neck is clean and it’s a joy to play. It’s slender at the nut, gaining notable shoulder and roundness as you travel up the rosewood fretboard.

This Jaguar features the six original gold Kluson tuners, although interestingly enough five of them are Double-line Kluson tuners and one is a single-line Kluson tuner. This isn’t uncommon for this period, as 1964 was a transition-year, where Fender went from single-line to double-line Kluson tuners in the end of ’64.

Overall this 1964 Fender Jaguar has some beautiful checking all over the body and has got nicks, dings, and other cosmetic wear on the front and back of the body. Through the years some of the factory gold parts has faded, but overall the gold is in great shape including the gold truss rod nut.  The original frets are great with plenty of life left. Comes complete with the original gold whammy bar and the gold bridge cover.

There is so much resonance of this instrument when you strike your first chord, and that dynamic, soulful quality really translates into the amplified signal. The Jaguar offers tonal options to both thicken up the sound and alternately make it even more sinewy and thin.

Pickups and electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes with its original Fender non-logo hardshell case. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
