We present an all original and 100% complete 1969 Gibson SG Custom in Walnut finish. Made in kalamazoo, Michigan.

The SG Custom officially began life when the Les Paul moniker was dropped from what we now call the SG body after its brief run from 1961 – 1963. The SG Custom featured three humbucker’s and a lyre tremolo, with a white finish until ’68 when the standard finish became walnut.

This Gibson SG custom is stunning all the way. This 1969 model with no Made in USA stamp and No Volute back on the headstock. It’s the real 1969 model that is way more attractive.  It features solid mahogany body, 3-piece neck with bound ebony fingerboard with MOP- inlays. Original maestro Lyre tremolo that is in perfect working order.

The original Gibson pickups with patent number decals sounds fantastic and are well balanced. The pickup covers has never been disturbed. The controls include 3-position toggle switch (neck, middle/bridge, and bridge) and volume/tone controls for the neck and bridge pickups. The middle pickup is wired out of phase and this is original from the factory.

The neck has a very nice and comfortable medium C-shape that is a joy to play. Overall, this Gibson SG is in great shape with nicks, dings, finish checking and other cosmetic play wear. The original frets has plenty of life left including the nut. The gold hardware are still strong but has some spots that are nicely aged.

Pickups and the electronics/wiring remain untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints, no re-wound pickups. All original and correct.

Comes complete with its original Gibson hardshell case with yellow interior. Latches and handle are in perfect working order.
